We are so excited for, and proud of, our friends at Dreamworks Animation for the amazing success of HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2. Over $618 million in worldwide boxoffice and it continues to gain much deserved critical acclaim with multiple nominations and several awards under it’s high-flying belt: The Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film and 6 Annie Awards, including Best Animated Feature Film and Best Director for Dean DeBlois. It has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. Fingers crossed for a win next Sunday, February 22! It would be a great nod to the film, the franchise (cause really, no offense to Toy Story 3, but How To Train Your Dragon should have taken the 2010 Oscar) and to the studio that has broken so much ground with their edgy and inspiring filmmaking and animation.
